BMW Group will celebrate its 100th anniversary in style with the North American introduction of two new 7 Series models - the M760i xDrive and the Alpina B7 xDrive - at the New York Auto Show in late March.
The 2017 M760i xDrive is the first M model to feature a 12-cylinder power plant. It delivers 600 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, allowing the full-size luxury sedan to accelerate to 60 mph in 3.91 seconds, and giving it a top speed of 155 mph. Like other 7 Series models, the M760i xDrive features advanced driver assistance technologies like Active Driving Assistance Plus, Blind Spot Detection, and Frontal Collision Warning.
The 2017 ALPINA B7 xDrive gets its motivation from a 4.4-liter eight-cylinder engine that creates 600 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, giving it a 0-60 acceleration time of 3.6 seconds. Built for cruising in ultimate comfort, the ALPINA B7 xDrive delivers exceptional handling with advanced suspension and chassis technology with ALPINA calibration.
The M760i xDrive rolls into U.S. showrooms in early 2017, while the ALPINA B7 xDrive goes on sale in U.S. in September 2016.
The 2016 New York International Auto Show is scheduled to begin on March 23, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan.
