These photos have shown us that the BMW i8 Roadster has a targa-top convertible design, and redesigned front and rear lights.

We don’t have many details on the horsepower of the vehicle, but we can expect that it will be more than the 357 horsepower that the coupe offers. What we do know is that the rear wheels will be powered by a turbocharged three-cylinder engine, while the front wheels are powered by an electric motor running off a lithium-ion battery pack. BMW is likely to have a full display of the i8 at the Frankfurt Auto Show; until then, we savor our sneak peeks as much as we can.
