What's New for the 2023 BMW 3 Series?

At Century BMW, we are always excited to show off our latest models to our valued customers. If you are eager to head home in a new compact car soon, the BMW 3 Series may have your full attention. This model, which has been popular for several decades, introduced its seventh generation a few years ago. Its enhancements have continued in more recent years, including several exciting updates to the 2023 model year. What should you learn about the 3 Series before you settle your attention on a specific model?

You will undoubtedly be impressed by the light refresh of the 2023 3 Series’ exterior. This is a sporty sedan with athletic accentuation. The dual-elemental headlamps are accompanied by a segmented, stretched grille, a thin bumper, and dominant air vents. You can appreciate the 3 Series’ angled accent bars that carry across the door panels from the side view. Other exterior features available with select or all trims include adaptive LED headlights, 19-inch wheels, heated side-view mirrors, and a powered sunroof.

The updates to the 2023 3 Series continue inside the cabin. There, you will find that the separated driver’s gauge panel and infotainment screen are combined as a seamless unit. In addition to having larger overall dimensions, the screen has integrated functions that replace the dashboard buttons in the 2022 model year. Carryover base trim-level features include simulated leather upholstery, connected services, an automatic climate system, forward collision mitigation, and an integrated navigation system. In the 3 Series’ higher trims, you may continue to find a heated steering wheel, authentic leather seating, heated front seats, a head-up display screen, keyless entry, and a Harman Kardon sound system.

The capabilities of the 2023 3 Series are unchanged. All three engine options available across the lineup are integrated with an auto eight-speed transmission and either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. In the base 3 Series, you will find a four-cylinder turbo, 255-horsepower engine. A hybrid variation of this turbocharged engine is also offered, giving you 288 horsepower. In the most advanced trim, 382 horsepower is produced by a turbo V6 engine. This powertrain includes enhanced braking capabilities, sports differential, and sports suspension.
