What's New for the 2023 BMW iX?
The iX crossover SUV integrates the superior luxuries, and advanced features drivers expect from a BMW with an all-electric motor for an exceptional driving experience. This midsize SUV debuted in 2022 and immediately stood out with its distinguished façade. The 2023 iX carries all of the same appeal as the introductory iX had, raising the bar by adding its M60 trim. This is now the top trim level available, and it stands apart with improved performance capabilities and more high-level features.
The base iX trim continues to have a dual-motor system that generates 516 horsepower. The M60 trim also has two electric motors, offering 610 horsepower. These trims both are designed with all-wheel drive, and their battery has a range of 288 miles. The base M60 trim has an optional Dynamic Handling package, which includes an adaptive air suspension system and four-wheel steering. This package is standard in the top trim level.
The desirable design of the iX is unchanged between the 2022 and 2023 model years. Sharp, edgy elements, including triangle-shaped air vents and slit-like headlights on the nose define the look. A tall, thin grille also enhances the front of the iX with BMW’s iconic kidney shape. If you opt for the base iX trim, your EV will have tinted glass for its panoramic sunroof, a power liftgate, and up to 20-inch wheels. The higher trim level offers soft-close doors, 21-inch wheels, and your choice of all-season or performance tires.
The contemporary feel of the BMW iX continues throughout its spacious, two-row interior. The front of the cabin is beautified by a 14.9-inch infotainment system screen featuring iDrive 8 and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel that curves in front of the driver. The base iX trim also comes with six USB ports, lane departure warning, synthetic leather upholstery, parking sensors, a navigation system, an automated parking system, a wireless device charging station, and a wireless connection for the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integrations. Several additional features are available in the base iX and are standard at the top iX M60 trim. Some of these are wood veneer trim, a wireless internet connection, massaging front seats, an interior camera, and 30 speakers for the premium Bower & Wilkins audio system.
