What's New for the 2023 BMW X1?
If you expect great things from your next small crossover, the BMW X1 is the model to look at. This is a luxury compact crossover that debuts its latest generation in 2023. As a next-generation model, the 2023 BMW X1 has brilliant updates across the interior and exterior. The body’s length is 1.7 inches longer, and this provides more seating and cargo space in the cabin. The exterior of the X1 displays redesigned front and rear fascia. However, the X1 continues to show off its signature design elements, including a kidney-shaped grille and LED headlights with a stepped design.
You will also find a few updates to the interior of the 2023 BMW X1. The 10.7-inch central display screen and the center stack are now driver-centric. Because the sound system and AC system controls are now available in the infotainment system, their interfaces in the center stack have been deleted in the 2023 model. In addition, the instrumentation panel now has a 10.25-inch digital display with a glass cover. The iDrive controller knob that has been standard throughout the X1’s history is no longer available. Wireless Android Auto has been added to the carryover Apple CarPlay equipment. Some of the other new additions for the 2023 model year are safe-exit assist, a blind-spot warning, video recording, hands-free driving, and a navigation system featuring augmented reality.
These exciting additions to the 2023 X1 are combined with the many other features that carry up from the 2022 model year. These include a Harman Kardon premium audio system, a 360-degree camera, rear and front parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, heated seats, and remote engine start.
The performance capabilities of the X1 have not changed. This model continues to receive 241 horsepower from its turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine. Other standard mechanical features are a seven-speed, dual-clutch auto transmission and all-wheel drive. A few of the optional performance features available in the 2023 model year are summer performance tires, shifting paddles, and an adaptive suspension.
