What's New for the 2025 BMW i4?

The all-electric BMW i4 debuted in 2022 and has evolved impressively with mid-generation updates since then. In 2025, the model will bring design updates and tech improvements for you to enjoy. In addition, the eDrive35 trim is no longer offered.

On the exterior, the 2025 BMW i4 shows off updated headlights and taillights. The headlights display two striking LED accents and a sporty, tapered shape. The tall, narrow grille has BMW's kidney-style shape. Below the headlights, statement-making air vents are styled with horizontal elements. Both the hood and roof are rounded for an aerodynamic look. The sides show off an innovative, open-spoke design. An angled air inlet is mounted near the front fender, and it bends sharply before streaming across the lower door panels. Exterior features are 18-inch or 19-inch wheels, rain-sensing wipers, summer performance tires, a rear spoiler, and several others.

While the eDrive35 is eliminated this year, three electric motor systems remain. The entry-level system has a single electric motor that produces 335 horsepower. The mid-level option has two motors. This all-wheel drive system generates 396 horsepower. The top engine system also has a dual-motor, all-wheel drive layout. It generates 469 horsepower. With its boost mode activated, the output increases to 536 horsepower. Some trim levels are available with variable sport steering, an adaptive suspension system, and performance tires.

Inside, the 2025 BMW i4 now has an updated infotainment system that is accessible via a 14.9-inch display screen. Additional features offered in some or all trim levels include wireless smartphone app connections, a head-up display, a front cross-traffic warning, a Harman Kardon sound system, traffic jam assist, lane keeping, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, an auto parking system, a heated steering wheel, front and rear parking sensors, a sunroof, a power liftgate, synthetic leather upholstery, auto emergency braking, a lane departure warning, and more.
