The most powerful system available for the 2023 5 Series is a 523-horsepower, V8, 4.4-liter engine. The 7 Series is available with only two powertrains. The entry-level trim has a 375-horsepower, inline-six, 3.0-liter turbo engine. The top trim comes with a 536-horsepower, turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine.
Appearance
The exterior design of the 2023 BMW 5 Series is defined by long curves across the profile and a pair of deep accents on the sides. The front end shows off a wide, chrome-accented grille, which links to the headlights. The headlights are narrow with a pair of L-shaped LED accents. Below the headlights, powerful air vents create a special look. The 7 Series has a longer, flatter hood with expansive accents streaming down the sides from front to rear. Its grille is taller and pairs with slit-like LED headlights for an aggressive look. The lower fascia is designed with deep air intakes.
