Performance-wise, the 2023 BMW X5 features a turbocharged 3.0-liter, six-cylinder gas engine with 335 horsepower with options for a V8, turbocharged 4.4-liter engine with 523 horsepower or a plug-in hybrid system with a total of 389 horsepower. For 2024, the standard engine has been enhanced with mild-hybrid technology, resulting in a 375 horsepower six-cylinder engine. The plug-in hybrid system has also been reworked, now boasting 483 combined horsepower.

Appearance

For 2024, the front of the BMW X5 has been totally restyled. The 2024 BMW X5 has smooth, linear styling and two arrow-shaped LED bars in the headlights. These are offset with a pair of tall gills below them. This is in contrast to the stronger, angled accents featured on the 2023 BMW X5.

Features

The 2024 BMW X5's features include hands-free highway driving assistance, iDrive eight infotainment technology, and a curved central display screen. However, many of the X5's other features, such as leather upholstery, Harman Kardon audio, massaging, and heated front seats, are offered for both model years.
